Philosophy
I believe true health is more than the absence of disease, but a state of ease, vitality, and alignment that exists inherently within us all. It profoundly impacts how we move through the world and is one of our greatest assets. Health is dynamic and ever-changing, a journey influenced by the choices we make each day - a way of life. This understanding fuels my passion for wellness and the importance of taking a proactive approach.
I see my role not to "fix" but to guide, empower and support you in rediscovering and reconnecting with your body’s natural capacity to heal and thrive. It's an honour and privilege to support each individual on this journey and witness the incredible wisdom of the human body.

A little about me...
I am a chiropractor, wellness educator and the founder of Grounded Wellness Studio. I'm deeply passionate about empowering and supporting people in reaching their health goals.
In 2015 I graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Science (Chiropractic) and Bachelor of Chiropractic. I chose chiropractic because I believe in addressing the root cause of health challenges and nurturing the body's natural ability to heal through gentle, non-invasive methods.
I work with clients from all walks of life and have a special interest in supporting those with neck pain, posture-related issues, headaches, chronic pain, chronic stress, nervous system dysregulation and mobility challenges.
Outside of the studio, you'll likely find me moving! I love yoga, hill-walking and resistance training, as well as adventuring in the great outdoors.
If you’d like to work together or have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out. I can’t wait to hear your story and begin this journey to good health with you.

Guiding principles

The Brain’s First Priority is Survival
Your brain's primary job is to keep you alive and safe. It constantly scans for potential threats and works to protect you. Pain, tension, stress and fatigue aren't failures - they're signals from your body that it's doing its job to keep you safe. These symptoms are messages from your nervous system (your brain and nerves, the command centre of your body), telling you that something needs attention.
My role is to help you decode these signals and build resilience and adaptability within your nervous system. This can mean learning how to shift out of survival mode (fight, flight or freeze mode) when appropriate and into a state where healing can occur.
Flexibility is key to nervous system health and healing. With the right support, you can learn to regulate your body’s response to stress, expand your capacity to handle stressors appropriately and effectively and create the conditions necessary for well-being.

The Body is an Ecosystem
Your body is not made up of isolated parts - it's a dynamic, interconnected system where every component influences the whole. For example, your muscles, joints, and nervous system work together to create movement, while your blood flow and lymphatic system help deliver nutrients and remove waste.
When one system is out of balance, it can affect the others. For instance, if your lymphatic system isn't functioning well, it may impact your immune response and lead to inflammation that can affect your muscles and joints. Similarly, poor blood circulation can limit oxygen and nutrient delivery to tissues, leaving your body feeling fatigued or sluggish.
True wellness comes from the coherence between these systems. I take the time to understand the full picture of your health, acknowledging how these systems work together, and focus on addressing the root causes that may be contributing to your health concerns.

You Adapt to Your Environment
Health isn't solely influenced by internal processes. The way your health expresses itself (such as symptoms) is influenced by the input your body receives - your environment and the information your brain receives and processes.
Your daily routines, stressors and surroundings - this includes things like what you eat, how you move, as well as what you think, how you feel and how you connect - are all factors at play.
The good news is that your body is highly adaptable. Just as a plant thrives when placed in the right environment, your body, too, will respond to changes in the environment. I am here to help you create an ideal environment that supports your body’s natural ability to heal and adapt.
